Cato, a Tragedy
1712
Let Guilt or Fear / Disturb Manβs Rest: Cato knows neither of βem, / Indiffβrent in his Choice to sleep or die.
Now I stand / Loose of my vow; but who knows Cato's thoughts?
Vent all its griefs, and give a loose to sorrow.
Beauty soon grows familiar to the lover, / Fades in the eye, and palls upon the sense.
